Each of these options offer different benefits; for instance, the convoluted version provides more flexibility with a larger diameter hose. When a smaller diameter hose is desired or required, the smooth bore type of PTFE hose not only allows a fast flow for fluid dynamics, but it also assembles quickly and easily. Both types are excellent at resisting deterioration and they have the lowest friction coefficient.
